About Us With over 40 years experience in jewelry design and craftsmanship, Emil’s Jewelry Design prides itself on making beautiful custom jewelry affordable to all. William Emil Weber, owner and jeweler, began making jewelry in 1982 in Central New York. After working at jewelry stores in the area “behind the scenes”, the dream of owning his own jewelry store came to fruition in 2008. A longtime South-Sider, Emil saw a jewelry void in his neighborhood and decided to become a part of the Binghamton South-Side revitalization by opening Emil’s Jewelry Design at 1184 Vestal Avenue. A vacant building was transformed into the home of beautiful, one-of-a-kind, custom jewelry. In addition to designing and making jewelry, Emil’s Jewelry also offers timely repairs to new and vintage jewelry. As the only jewelry store in Binghamton with a laser welder, Emil’s Jewelry Design is able to repair even the most precious heirloom pieces quickly and on the premises. The laser welder also makes eyeglass repair possible where it had not been possible before. Joe O’Neil has been working with Emil on design and repairs for 14 years. A native of Chenango Forks, Joe’s interest in jewelry was sparked at an early age after taking a class in jewelry design in high school. Interest grew into passion, and later, a career. Following longstanding traditions of quality workmanship, Joe adds his own unique design talents to many pieces of finely crafted jewelry. Our passion for beautiful jewelry fuels our desire to encourage all to explore the possibilities of owning their own one-of-a-kind custom piece of art that will be endure for generations. |
